Spent today mostly with the horses. Cousin Steve (he lets me call him just Steve, since I'm growed up now) has eight of them. We got to watch a lesson, ride a bit in the arena, and this afternoon we hung out and watched the horses be horses. The baby - he's a year and a half old - is just a hoot to watch as he plays with the gate and the gate chain, pesters the others, rummages around and finds a stick, then uses it to dig in the dirt (really!) and play tug-of-war with the bigger horses. Busy, busy guy.
I did take some photos, but I didn't get around to doing it until the horses' feeding time. What this means is that you can only get pictures like this:
| Hello! Did you bring dinner? |
| Well, did you bring anything? |
So you're useless. WAITER!
And yep, this is me, on the lovely and patient Melody. John rode a bit, too, but I didn't have a camera.
Not much else to report on today, so I will share some photos that I have taken in and around Steve's place.
See you tomorrow!
